Carex dissata - Grasses

Carex dissata also known as purei, is attractice conolising flat-leaved green sedge that is native to New Zealand. C. dissita likes growing in dark and damp places such as the edges of bush streams, forest or swampy areas. Seeds occur on long stems in order to disperse them away from the plants.Purei doesn't have a creeping rhizome. It has almost black seed heads which is an attractive feature of this Carex species.
