A wide rosette, up to 0.6m across,, is comprised of numerous, quite slender, dusty green leaves. At flowering, the centre turns bright red. Quite hardy and captable of taking moderate frosts, salt spray and wind. Best in dappled light as full sun may cause some scorching; also able t o be grown in heavy shade with little negative effect. The pups arise from long stolons which often develop higher than the mother plant, so if placed by a tree or wall, the pups will gradually climb up. Alternatively, create a lovely staggered effect by planting in a stamp or hanging basket.
