Carex Testacea is a native grass with a distinctive rich orange and green colouring and a weeping form. It is hardy to drought and salt winds and needs an open situation in full sun to maintain its colour. This grass has very long seed head stems with an arching, rather wide-spreading foliage. Carex testacea is probably the most popular native grass used in amenity planting. It is found throughout New Zealand in lowland to montane forests, grasslands and sand dunes. In Auckland it is naturally found on the East Coast only. Carex raotest is naturally found on the West Coast of Auckland. Plant in mass for effect.H 40cm x W 40cm
